A feud is reportedly brewing in Hollywood between Kendall Jenner and Sydney Sweeney. According to media reports, the 30-year-old model and her close friend Hailey Bieber, 29, are not fond of the 29-year-old actress.
The alleged tension is said to stem from a provocative advertising campaign in which Sweeney appears completely nude.
Sweeney filmed two advertisements for the sports trading platform Novig under the slogan “Only Sports.” The campaign has faced criticism from female athletes who argue that it unnecessarily sexualises women’s sports. Sweeney is reportedly aware that the Jenner circle disapproves of her, but the criticism does not appear to bother her.
“She has heard that Hailey and Kendall don’t like her, but she doesn’t care at all,” a source close to the actress reportedly said.
It remains unclear whether any of the three women have publicly addressed the alleged animosity.
The hostility appears to be mutual. “Sydney doesn’t like the ‘nepo baby’ crowd,” an unnamed source claimed, suggesting that the actress resents the advantages Kendall and Hailey allegedly enjoyed early in their careers because of their famous families.
“She believes neither of them built their careers on their own, but are simply using their family fame,” the source explained.
Kendall is the daughter of Kris Jenner and a member of the Kardashian-Jenner family, while Hailey comes from the Baldwin family and is married to Justin Bieber.
Speculation about a possible feud intensified after footage from an event appeared to show Sweeney giving Kendall several intense looks. What exactly happened between them at the time remains unclear.
