Apple Announces October 13 Event: Here’s What the Company Could Unveil

Apple has announced an event scheduled for October 13 in New York. The invitation’s tagline, “Welcome Home,” suggests that the company could unveil new smart home devices.

What Devices Could Apple Introduce?

Among the expected announcements are a smart home control device with a display, a new version of the HomePod mini, and an updated Apple TV.

According to unofficial reports, Apple is working with LG on the development of new smart home products, including a video doorbell, a smart thermostat, and an indoor security camera.

Some of these products could be unveiled at the upcoming event. Computer-generated images claiming to show several of the rumored devices also surfaced online on Monday.

Launch Reportedly Delayed Due to Siri

Apple has reportedly been developing a device designed to serve as a central hub for controlling a smart home. Its launch was initially planned for 2025 but was postponed due to delays in developing an upgraded version of Siri, the company’s voice assistant powered by artificial intelligence.

The updated version of Siri reportedly became available last month, although it remains in the testing phase. This has fueled speculation that Apple may now be ready to introduce new hardware as part of its broader push into the smart home market.
