Brad Pitt is almost unrecognizable in the new trailer for “The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth,” as he reprises his role as Cliff Booth from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
The 62-year-old actor sports long, messy blond hair and a thick pair of mustaches, fully embracing a distinctly 1970s-inspired look for the upcoming film.
Fans had already caught glimpses of Pitt’s transformation in behind-the-scenes photos from filming in July, when he was seen sporting the same long blond hairstyle.
In the new movie, Pitt returns as stuntman Cliff Booth, the character he played in Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 film. Cliff previously had shorter hair and was clean-shaven, making his new appearance a striking departure from his original look.
The project finally moved forward after Pitt found a new director for the story, David Fincher. Pitt has said that Tarantino gave his blessing for the character’s story to continue.
According to Pitt, he handed the script to Fincher during a flight, and before they reached their destination, the director had already told him he wanted to make the movie.
Pitt has previously spoken about his connection to Cliff Booth, saying the character strongly appealed to him at this stage of his life.
The dramatic transformation comes just days after Pitt appeared to promote another upcoming film, “Heart of the Beast.” At the red-carpet event, he wore a camouflage-inspired outfit with an olive-green shirt, brown shoes and sunglasses.
During that appearance, Pitt also showed off his natural hair, which is currently light brown and only a few inches long.
