Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys fell in love on the set of The Americans, where they played a married couple for several years.
Russell, who is also known for her role in Netflix’s The Diplomat, has now revealed intimate details about their relationship during filming. Rhys recently won two Emmy Awards.
During an appearance on Chelsea Handler’s podcast, Dear Chelsea, Russell described how she and Rhys took almost every opportunity to be intimate, even while dressed in disguise as their characters.
The couple met on the set of the spy drama, which ran for six seasons from 2013 to 2018.
“We were falling in love, staying up all night, and having sex all the time, and we were wearing masks, disguises. I was wearing wigs and crazy pearls,” the actress admitted.
“When have you ever had sex wearing pearls, and in a trailer, everywhere? I mean, it was crazy. It was so fun and mysterious and sexy — and so good.”
