Pentagon Releases Sixth Batch of Declassified UFO Files

The Pentagon released another collection of documents, videos and images on Friday, marking the sixth batch of records made public as part of the U.S. government’s effort to disclose information related to UFOs.

The newly released files include video footage of objects reportedly seen over Utah in 1952, as well as a 2008 spending report documenting a nearly $22 million government investigation into unexplained aerial phenomena.

The latest disclosure follows five previous releases made after U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order earlier this year directing the government to make UFO-related records available to the public.

“Today, the Department of War is releasing the sixth tranche of declassified and historical Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) files as part of the Presidential UAP Reporting and Disclosure System (PURSUE),” Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell said.

Parnell added that the department plans to release additional records on an ongoing basis and is already working on the next batch of UAP files.

The U.S. government increasingly uses the term Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) rather than UFO when referring to sightings or observations that cannot immediately be explained.
