Actor RJ Mitte, best known for playing Walter White’s son in the hit television series Breaking Bad, has died at the age of 35.
His death was confirmed by his publicist. Mitte was reportedly found unresponsive on Monday, October 12, at an address in Brownsville, Texas.
Just hours before his death, the actor shared promotional content on Instagram for his new independent film, One Eye Open, in which he stars. The film had recently become available on streaming platforms.
In his final interview with Joe Vulpis’ podcast in early October, Mitte reflected on his role in the cult television series. He admitted that watching his own mistakes on screen could have a negative impact on him.
“It just doesn’t help me. I get weighed down by it and go around in circles. I keep asking myself what I could have done differently,” he said at the time.
