Kelly Osbourne has opened up about a troubling experience from her teenage years, revealing that she first tried cocaine after it was given to her by one of her father Ozzy Osbourne’s friends.
Speaking in the new documentary If These Walls Could Rock, Kelly recalled spending much of her youth at the famous Sunset Marquis hotel while her father toured the United States.
The hotel became the setting for several major firsts in her life. Kelly said she had her first alcoholic drink there, experienced her first kiss and also tried cocaine for the first time.
She revealed that the drug was given to her by a member of a “very, very, very big” band who was friends with her father. Kelly said she never told her parents who the person was because she feared how they would react.
Her mother, Sharon Osbourne, also reflected on the family’s time at the hotel, explaining that they stayed there during summers before eventually settling in Los Angeles.
According to Sharon, the hotel allowed Ozzy to continue the wild rock-and-roll lifestyle that defined much of his touring years.
Ozzy Osbourne died in July 2025 at the age of 76.
