A 32-year-old man from Kosovo was arrested by German Federal Police at the Furth im Wald border crossing after officers discovered an active warrant against him.
The arrest took place shortly after midnight between September 6 and 7, 2026, when officers stopped the 32-year-old during a vehicle check.
After verifying his personal information, police found that he was wanted in connection with a fraud conviction issued by a court in Landshut.
The arrest warrant had been issued over an unpaid fine. After being informed of the outstanding warrant, the man was able to pay the required amount of €639.50.
By settling the fine, he avoided serving a custodial sentence.
Once police procedures were completed, the 32-year-old was released and allowed to continue his journey.
