A total of 248 candidates who successfully passed Kosovo’s Bar Exam received their certificates during an official ceremony organized by the Ministry of Justice on Wednesday.
Acting Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Minister Donika Gërvalla congratulated the successful candidates on reaching an important milestone in their professional careers, highlighting the dedication, hard work and sacrifice required throughout the preparation process.
Gërvalla said the number of successful candidates represents far more than a statistic, pointing to years of education, months of preparation and the support of families who shared in the sacrifices along the way.
She also reminded the newly certified legal professionals that earning the qualification comes with greater responsibility.
According to Gërvalla, working in the legal profession is not simply about understanding the law, but also having the courage to defend it, refusing to compromise in the face of injustice and using professional knowledge to serve justice rather than personal privilege.
She stressed that Kosovo needs legal professionals who believe in the rule of law and remain committed to their principles despite pressure, personal interests or injustice.
The acting justice minister also announced plans to continue modernizing the Bar Exam process through digitalization and the introduction of more efficient, transparent and accessible procedures.
Gërvalla noted that significantly more candidates passed the exam during the latest session compared with previous rounds, describing the results as an indication of the potential and determination of Kosovo’s new generation of legal professionals.
She also thanked the head of the examination commission, Arian Gashi, its members and Ministry of Justice staff for their work throughout the process.
The ceremony was also attended by acting Deputy Justice Minister Genc Nimoni, members of the Bar Exam Commission, ministry staff and relatives of the newly certified candidates.
