Pristina Mayor Përparim Rama announced today that the capital is welcoming citizens from across Kosovo who plan to attend the “March for Freedom,” organized in support of Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi, ahead of the verdict in the case involving former KLA leaders at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers.
Rama said that public transportation throughout the capital, as well as parking behind the Palace of Youth, will be free of charge today.
“Pristina welcomes all citizens to the March for Freedom. The capital will always remain a home for dignity and a voice for justice. Today, public transportation in the capital is FREE. Parking at the Palace of Youth is FREE. Welcome to Pristina!” Rama wrote.
The march is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. at Skanderbeg Square, with the gathering taking place four days before the verdict is expected to be announced in The Hague.
The organizers, along with numerous public figures, have called on citizens to take part. The “Freedom Has a Name” platform has also invited leaders of Kosovo’s Albanian political parties to attend the event.
