Former Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has reacted to the unsuccessful process of electing Kosovo’s next president, expressing appreciation for presidential candidate Bekim Sejdiu and the way he handled the process.
Osmani said Sejdiu deserves recognition both for his willingness to serve the country and for maintaining his composure and dignity throughout a politically difficult process.
She argued that Kosovo’s greater loss was not only the failure to elect a president, but also the missed opportunity to demonstrate that political consensus can be built around people with knowledge, integrity and dignity.
According to Osmani, political campaigns and elections eventually pass, but the way individuals conduct themselves when facing difficult challenges can leave a lasting impression.
She concluded by thanking Sejdiu for his readiness to serve the Republic and for the dignity he displayed until the end of the process.
