Shqipe Mehmeti-Selimi has shared a photograph of her husband, former KLA commander Rexhep Selimi, from The Hague, accompanied by a message of determination just one day before the expected final verdict.
“Battle after battle. The stronger we become in every battle, the more convinced we are of victory in the end,” she wrote alongside the photo.
Mehmeti-Selimi traveled to The Hague a day earlier as she awaits the court’s decision in the case involving Selimi, Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli and Jakup Krasniqi, who are facing charges related to alleged war crimes.
The verdict comes nearly six years after the former KLA leaders were arrested and transferred to The Hague to face trial.
