A Paris court has awarded Kim Kardashian €1 in compensation after ruling in connection with the armed robbery she was subjected to in the French capital in 2016.
The symbolic amount was the same compensation Kardashian had requested, according to a lawyer involved in the case.
Kardashian has sought closure since the court convicted eight people last year for their roles in the robbery, which she previously described as “the most terrifying experience of her life.”
The American celebrity was staying at a Paris hotel when a group of armed robbers targeted her during Fashion Week on October 2, 2016. She later said the incident left her deeply traumatized.
The court also awarded €50,000 to the hotel, while Kardashian’s stylist, who was present during the robbery, received €1 in compensation.
