Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) leader Bedri Hamza visited the families of Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli and Jakup Krasniqi following the verdict delivered in The Hague against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK).
Hamza said he assured the families that they were not alone and that support for them would continue.
“Today, I visited the Thaçi, Veseli and Krasniqi families following the harsh, unjust and unfounded decision in The Hague. I assured them that they are not alone and never will be,” Hamza wrote.
The PDK leader said the families’ pain is shared by the people of Kosovo.
“Their pain is our pain. Their sorrow is the sorrow of our people,” he said.
Hamza added that efforts would continue in pursuit of justice and the return of the former UÇK leaders to Kosovo.
“Together we will stand, together we will work, and together we will continue the fight for justice and freedom until the last freedom fighter returns home,” he wrote.
Hamza concluded his message with the words: “Yesterday, today and forever — liberators!”
