Large numbers of citizens from Kosovo and the Albanian diaspora have gathered in The Hague, where many are expected to spend the night ahead of the long-awaited verdict in the case involving four former KLA leaders.
With only a few hours remaining before the ruling, crowds gathered near the Kosovo Specialist Chambers carrying Albanian national flags and Kosovo Liberation Army flags, while many were also wearing clothing featuring national symbols.
The group is expected to remain overnight in a park near the court complex, with patriotic music also being played as people wait for the verdict.
Families of the accused, along with political figures and institutional representatives, have also traveled to The Hague to be present as the verdicts for Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi are announced.
The first-instance verdict is scheduled to be delivered at 10:00 a.m.
