Former Kosovo Liberation Army commander Daut Haradinaj has faced an insulting online comment from a former Serbian police officer over his support for former KLA leaders being held in The Hague.
Haradinaj had shared a video on Facebook calling for the release of the former KLA leaders currently facing proceedings before the Specialist Chambers.
A former member of the Serbian police responded to the post with offensive remarks directed at Haradinaj and the KLA’s wartime role. The individual has been identified as Milinko Babović, according to reports.
The comment quickly triggered reactions on social media, with numerous Facebook users condemning the language used against Haradinaj and the KLA.
The incident has once again sparked discussion online surrounding the sharply divided views over the Kosovo War and the ongoing Hague proceedings involving former KLA leaders.
