Kosovo Assembly Speaker Albulena Haxhiu has formally designated Vetëvendosje leader Albin Kurti as the nominee to form the new Government of Kosovo.
Haxhiu announced the decision in a Facebook post following Kurti’s nomination by the Vetëvendosje Movement.
“In accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and following the proposal of the VETËVENDOSJE! Movement, I have designated Mr. Albin Kurti as the nominee to form the Government of the Republic of Kosovo,” Haxhiu wrote.
She wished Kurti success in carrying out the responsibilities entrusted to him by the citizens and called for the new government to be formed as soon as possible.
“I wish Mr. Kurti success in fulfilling the responsibilities that stem from the trust of the citizens, as well as in forming the government as quickly as possible, in service of the Republic of Kosovo and its citizens,” she concluded.
