Kosovo Assembly Deputy Speaker and Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) Secretary Vlora Çitaku has reacted to a protest held in Pristina in support of the former KLA leaders currently on trial in The Hague.
In a social media post, Çitaku also commented on the projection of the KLA symbol onto the Government building following the protest.
According to Çitaku, the KLA needs state protection rather than symbolic installations and empty words.
Her full statement reads:
“Tonight, following the public protest, the Government building was covered with the KLA symbol.
Very good.
But for 16 days and 16 nights, squares across Kosovo and throughout the diaspora wherever Albanians live have been echoing with the message: ‘Not in My Name.’
And the demand addressed to Albin Kurti is clear: bring the law before the Assembly and pass it. Without wasting any more time.
The KLA needs state protection, not installations and empty words.
Action, Albin. Not words.”
