U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his appreciation to countries contributing to efforts to stabilize the situation in Gaza during his address to world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly.
Trump said it was important for Iran to choose a constructive path and for countries to work toward establishing lasting peace in the region.
“I want to express my gratitude for the approval of the Board of Peace. Nearly 30 countries have joined, and I want to thank them for their contributions,” Trump said.
He also thanked countries that have provided troops, police personnel and training to support stabilization efforts in Gaza, specifically mentioning Indonesia, Morocco, Albania, Kosovo, Kazakhstan, Egypt and Jordan.
Trump said that since taking office, he has been honored to have helped bring an end to eight conflicts and to have developed relationships with leaders from many of the countries involved.
